Ask and ye shall receive … and in this case, I was asked to give a quick tutorial on how I create the thumbnails for my YouTube videos, so that’s just what I did. In this video, I cover the basics, from layers, to text, outlining the image and text in an easy way, and some basic color and masking changes.
I also show some examples of how I used these techniques in thumbnails I used, giving you a basic understanding of how GiMP works. I won’t cover advanced photo manipulation techniques here – I’ll leave that for better editors than me. Enjoy!
