How do you winterize your bike? Do you ride year-round? I have one bike that gets ridden in the winter, because it has a fairing and windshield. My 1979 Kawasaki KZ650SR, however, gets put away for the colder months.
I use a combination of fuel stabilizer and a short ride to ensure the stabilizer gets into all the internals of the carburetor and fuel system, preventing it from gumming up for the 4-6 months the bike will be parked.
Here are the products I use (Amazon Affiliate Links):
Spectro Fuel Stabilizer
Seafoam
In this video, I’ll show you that process and talk about how I got the KZ and what I’ve done to it in the time I’ve had it. Enjoy!
NOTE: This video was recorded before I discovered my latest microphone setup, which I explain in this video.
