Nine whole months with a car that could just about fit in the bed of my F-150? Yep, you got it! The Mini does well, getting me into parking spaces I wouldn’t even think of parking my truck in, as well as providing comfortable summer transportation. Read on for more details.

Summary:
Not much to report this quarter. All is going well with the Mini. The miles fly by and the handling is still a lot of fun.
My wife and I took the sporty coupe to the beach in August, and were rewarded with a comfortable highway drive, 35 MPG overall, and plenty of space for our luggage for the weekend. I’d still like to take the Mini on a longer trip, including my dogs, but I’ll wait for warmer weather before doing that.
Dated Notes:
- none
General Observations:
- The automatic climate control seems to get stuck in recirculation mode, even when you don’t want it to. Something to watch out for in the future.
- With the panoramic sunroof, this car could really use air-conditioned seats to make it more comfortable. The interior gets really hot since the shade for the two halves of the sunroof are a mesh cloth instead of solid.
