If you’ve got a 2008 Jeep Liberty, chances are it’s being recalled. It turns out that there is excessive adhesive inside the windshield wiper motor, which somehow lets water in. This can lead to intermittent operation of the wipers, and eventually the motor simply shorts out, leaving the driver with no windshield wiper movement. Obviously, this is a safety hazard, so Chrysler is sending out letters to 16,229 affected owners this month, and will be replacing the windshield wiper motors free of charge.
