Nissan announced Thursday the pricing for its Sentra model, in all 6 flavors. Changes are limited for the 2011 model, the big ones being:
“improved EPA estimated city fuel economy and the fine-tuning of option package equipment. New Sentra 2.0 packages include a SL Value Package, Visual Audio Package and SL Audio Package.”
Base prices start around $15,000 for the 2.0 with a manual transmission and head all up to about $20,000 for a Sentra SE-R Spec V. Follow the jump for more details and model-based pricing.
The breakdown of prices is as follows: ($750 destination not included)
2011 Price | 2010 Price | Difference | |
Sentra 2.0 6MT | $15,520 USD | $15,420 USD | + $100 |
Sentra 2.0 CVT | $16,700 USD | $16,600 USD | + $100 |
Sentra 2.0 S CVT | $17,450 USD | $17,160 USD | + $290 |
Sentra 2.0 SR CVT | $17,450 USD | $17,160 USD | + $290 |
Sentra 2.0 SL CVT | $18,850 USD | $18,560 USD | + $290 |
Sentra SE-R 2.5L CVT | $19,580 USD | $19,580 USD | + $0 |
Sentra SE-R Spec V 2.5L 6MT | $20,080 USD | $20,080 USD | + $0 |
Nissan has really held the line on pricing for its Sentra, mostly by continuing the optioning of previously-standard features they started for the 2010 model year, specifically leather in the SL model.
The increased fuel economy Nissan is talking about amounts to, “27/34 miles per gallon City/Highway with the CVT and 24/31 City/Highway miles per gallon with the 6-speed manual transmission (Sentra 2.0 only).”
These are minor changes for sure, and with the current generation Sentra coming on the market as a 2007 model and receiving a mild refresh for 2010, expect a complete redesign for the 2012 or 2013 model year, at the very latest.
